Landscape gardener Charlie started off by explaining that now is the perfect time to be planting a vegetable garden.
"We have just finished the veggie patch at our place actually," revealed Charlie.
"We've put in carrots, beetroot by seed, corn by seed, but we've done lots of lettuce, lots of spinach ... cucumbers, zucchini."
Charlie revealed that "for a veggie patch it's really important you have lots and lots of sun, so you need at least six hours of sun a day otherwise it's not worth it".
Although many Australians are living in apartments in which they have had to create an office space due to COVID restrictions, Albone explained that growing vegetable is still an option.
"You can use a grow bag in an apartment, that works really well for tomatoes, things like that.
"So it's literally just a bag that you put out there, cut a hole in and you can plant straight into it."
Interior designer and stylist Juliet then spoke of how to bring some fresh colour and life into the home, as many Australians look for a change after having been forced to spend so much extra time there.
"Spring is such a nice opportunity to really add a bit of colour and some florals into your decor and florals are really big at the moment in wallpapers, in fabrics ... and I think you don't need to overhaul your whole house.
"You can do a couple of things like some new cushions, maybe a new artwork as a focal point. We're seeing lots of pastels which is really pretty," Juliet said.
Juliet also shared some ideas when it comes to redecorating the home office.
"So many people are working from home and don't have a designated space to work from, so multi-purpose furniture is your best friend.
"You can get some really clever pieces like desks that you can pull down and pop them in the corner of your room." she said.
The couple also revealed what they are up to in the latest episode of Better Homes & Gardens.
"We're working together tonight (Friday night's show), so we're doing a spring makeover for a family. We're doing veggie patches, a lot of native plants, you're doing a fairy garden," Charlie said to Juliet.
"It was our first crossover story which was really lovely, we've been doing lots of separate ones but tonight we're working together," revealed Juliet.
"The family was so sweet, they have two little girls and another baby on the way, so we did a lot of fun things that the kids can enjoy in the garden."
Better Homes & Gardens airs Friday nights at 7pm on 7 and you can also catch up anytime on 7Plus
